The Division of Classroom Education and the Division of Early Childhood Education provide services within the scope of the Primary Education Department at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University's Faculty of Education. A Professor, eight Associate Professors, six Assistant Professors, continue their studies within our department.
The Division of Early Childhood Education in our department conducts a training plan to educate Preschool teacher candidates. The program includes compulsory field knowledge, pedagogic instruction, general knowledge, and practicum. In addition, students are able to take elective courses. The program, through modern methods and technology, trains creative, innovative, and sophisticated teachers of early childhood educators equipped with the necessary methodology and qualifications. Graduates of this department can find the opportunity to work in various organizations related to child education, as well as the teaching profession.
The Division of Classroom Education in our department aims to establish relations between different sciences and to make connections between different sciences and to be informed about scientific knowledge, contemporary, democratic, productive, sensitive to country and world problems, able to adapt to changing conditions, have future goals, have teamwork leadership and communication skills, to be able to apply to different fields, to be sensitive to culture and art, to perceive diversity as a richness, to combine theory and practice, to be self-confident and tolerant, to learn life-long and to be self-renewing, to be peaceful with himself and his environment, with a sense of devotion to his profession, to train teachers who can express it in a way.
